We have a Shelbourne cx66 (22') head on a 1666 and it works well if the crop is heavy or lodged. It may shell out some in a real thin stand, but if the crop is completely flat on the ground it will get it. We use it in wheat and barley. Speeds are 4-6 mph and you can't hear any rumbling or noise at all. I would get one with 4 rows of stainless steel strippers and 4 of plastic. We swath and bale the straw after harvest and this works really well.
