I know what your sayin! We have some 8 vane STS's that spread heavy just as you explained. The 9750 I run has 8 and spreads to the right all the time, almost like it is comin' out of the rotor on one sideIJ We probably will not break down for the new tail-boards, and were runnin the 635's so our spread patterns are gonna be a little uneven. The chisel plow will know no diference. I would say what ever fits your application! We are happy with the 8 you might like the 12's for your operation.

The reason for the STS throwing straw to the left side of the machine is that there is no "pinch point" on these machines. We run a 9650 STS that has updated diverter plates to direct the straw more to the right hand side. But under heavy straw loads or tough straw conditions it doesnt do anything. The 12 vane deck make a huge difference in the spread pattern compared to the 8.
