I replaced mine when I got it at 600 hrs. I guess they ran it too loose. or maybe it's because they are narrower and have to turn so much faster. Have you tried a "chromed pin chain"IJ

Have tried one but with same luck. Have put four in total. Keep finding cracked links on them and can only put so many repair links in I feel. JD has covered the first two when machine was new but now with the machine three years old and 1529 Sep they are not concerned about it and I'm on my own.
