i ran w_ the small wires and no covers in this yr. 60 to 70 bu winter wheat, rotor on about 800 to 850, concaves on about 9 to 12, fan at 1250 to 1350, no shoe loss to speak of. I dropped the all of our straw and used one of my wifes cookie sheets and had the cart driver toss it under the machine, and the best i did was 7 seeds. that was at 3.5 mph. had a really good sample too. under 1_2%. i was happy

i believe thatthere is too much material falling down on the first part of the concarves. we are able to make about 50bu_hour. the combine mainly loses over the sieves an not over the tine. i think i will try it next year with the small wires! We will star in maize in 3 weeks - looking forward that the STS will work there as good as in wheat. Greetings Marcus

you should go with the smallwire concave in very try conditions. we could go after changing over to small wire 1,5to2km faster without any losses.

our settings where between 15 to 30 on the concave-4 on the sieve and 12to 15 on the chaffer.rotorspeed on 850to 900 fan about 1000.
