I traded two 2388,s for two 9650 STS and have only cut 1200 acres of wheat. So far no regrets, quality of workmanship on Deere isfar superior and capacity has always been as good or better. Can give you a better opinion after 7000 acres of corn and beans. P.S. I was a die-hard IH man just got afraid of all the merger crap.

I also traded an A-Flow for a 9650 sts. I did get to the chance to run them both side by side for the harvest (rented the Deere with the option to buy). The Deere is much better built. infact 10,000 pounds heavier!!!! the Deere cut circles around the CIH. all we did was set it by the book and went. it cut twice as fast, cleaner and the grain loss was wonderful on the Deere. My honest opinion (remember it is just an opinion) the 1680 was CIH's best machine and they just tried to make a super sized 1680 and it didn't work. Maybe with the merger CIH quality control went by the way side.
