1206, Neet photos.. And thanks for introducing "Club Photos". I paid for Photopoint and can't access it any more. Don't know what happened. Any way, here's a stuck picture - a little off topic. I'm leaving this to see if it will work

Good pictures! Reminds me of wheat harvest in Oklahoma during that same time period. K.A.

I am curious as to what type of soil is on these farms where these pictures were taken.

These pictures were taken 100 miles south of Kansas City.We have alot of clay pan soil.We used to have alot of seeps with no bottom to them. All these pictures were taken on up ground too,no bottom ground. It holds water great in the Spring and Fall when you dont need it to but in July and August it doesnt hold water at all.We can have water standing in the fields on July 1st and by July 15th we can be burning up.Quitting plowing in the mid- late 70's eliminated most of our mud troubles.I havent seen a stuck combine in years.I now combine with a 2WD 1981 1420 IH which is a very heavy combine. In the 1980's even a RWA 1420 wouldnt leave the end of the field some years.

Nice pictures. I had some photos on Photopoint and had bought a subsciption, now they're gone -- just a little peeved! How could you stand to go back to using an F after running an N7IJ I would think that would be right up there with Chineese water tourture! My dad had a CII with rice tires. Only had that stuck once that I remember. Then we had an FKS with 23.1 and got that stuck in neighbors peat muck about the last year we had it. Now have M2 with 23.1 and so far, so good.

I missed some great pictures getting our R62 out of some very bad places. The first time we had it stuck it took a D6 with a winch to get it out. He would winch backward until the dozer went down then we would pull him on top and try again. Since then dad found an old 6 wheel drive army truck with a heavy winch. We to are in SE Kansas, Seems like it only rains at harvest.
