Buy the stiffeners for the Sukup, thats the only way local dealer will sell them, and other bin salesman say don't use the bins sold now to store wet corn in.

I was planning on getting the stiffeners since that was the way they quoted it to me. Is it just Sukup bins or is it all the new bins that they don't want you to put wet corn inIJ Also whyIJ

All bins, we dry with air alot here with no stiralls, and they say the settling of the corn will crinkle these new bins, lightened the guage of the metal too much I guess. There are at least 3 bins(all different brands) that have crinkled in this area.

I don't think they are any worse than the competition. Our coop put up two this fall (one 60K and one 24K) and the local salesman must have sold a dozen other Sukup bins this fall. Charlie Sukup was president of ASABE (Former ASAE) for 2006. He's a good man.
