I have a Sunnybrook rotor in my '98 R62. I also have a friend of mine running one in an N7. What we both notice first and foremost is it eliminates all vibration from dust buildup on the bars. And being quite a bit heavier, it gives the rotor more inertia to pull through some tough spots. The main thing is the elimination of the vibration, which in my opinion, is better for the machines longevity.

John; Thanks for the mention. We've been building these for several years, at this juncture, mostly for 8820 models, and the patent was allowed last July. We can use either rub style bars as with OEM, or rasp type bars which are much more efficient, or a combo of both types. We recommend rasp type bars because they require much less HP, provide faster throughput, cleaner samples with less grain damage. We can provide results from users, if desired.

Cylinder bars feed-concaves thresh.The high inertia style combined with the St.John style bar has to be the best of all worlds.The H-I style offers a "pocket" for the crop mat to be fed into each time a bar passes by the feeder chain.The St John style bar ,with the almost vertical front profile,is both aggresive and gentle at the same time.This is possible,because the leading edge is where the action is.The upright edge moves the crop through without so much crop getting pinched in between the sloped-back bars and the concave,causing a braking effect all the time.This is the very same reason it is gentle.The grain gets damaged in this pinch point where it gets wedged.Who likes a wedgieIJ
