This may sound stupid but was that the last 2+2 built. We had a 1978 3388 the first one the local dealer sold.We traded it in 1989 for a 7110 magnum. that was a real bad move on ower part.

Don't know if this is the Gospel truth but what I have heard over the years was this. When IH introduced the Super 70 line it was at the same time that Case Tennco had bought them out this would be in 1985. Some IH dealers had a few of the super 70 4wd's pre sold but they hadn't even been built yet then the merger took place and Case offered them the Case 4wd tractor. What I have been told is IH had built about a dozen of the Super 70 4 wd's and they were then reacquired by Case and then dismantled. Their was a partsman at my local Case IH dealer who has a picture of him standing beside one they had on their lot when it was brand new they were a Case dealer at that time. He is no longer around the aera but he showed me the picture and I had asked him what ever happened to the tractor and he wasn't sure if it was sold or what. I was at a toy show last year and a fellow there had an IH tractor display he had all the toy " Snoopy" models and he told me that IH had a toy released to go along with the release of the Super 70 Series. I have never seen one. Well I hope this helps you out like I said this might be as far from the truth as could be but it is what I know.
