Yes pull every other wire out. Make sure the grate is level and the setting is about 4. IF you have time plug the holes, Found those little brass notebook tabs that you put through the holes in loose leaf work fair and quick , especially with a little silicone. Too wide concave thresher setting will do this as well. Try closing down a tad.

Got the wires pulled this morning and headed back to the field. Made the mistake of not plugging the holes not good. Brought it back in cleaned it out and plugged the holes its not much fun with the rotor in but it can be done. We did use the poly plugs from our dealer. what a difference that makes. We gained about 8 bu_acre now with the wires out and the holes plugged. Setting today were. 1)Concave was set at 6 2)Seperator grate we have set at 2 could be more or higher but we are still playing with it. Will slowly open that back up most likely 3)Cylinder speed 600rpm 4)2 reverse bars in on the far left side 5)have 9 total knives in 3 per row Next thing we need to do is get the speed up pulley put on the platform to get the quik cut sickle moving faster. With the setting above the combine reacts very well with the tight tolerences on the left side. The stems are still green but the beans are dry 11.0%. They go through very smoothly no growling or slugging. Samples are good at this point and there are hardly any split beans. And as it usually goes in a few days this could all change if the stems finally dry down. THANKS.
