Hey Useless.. Culloden has no snow as of right now. I'm hoping it doesn't snow like they say its going to tonite or tomorrow morning. We're going to try at 7 ish. I thought you were going to just plow toniteIJ

I always run with the side shields open, helps keep the combine cool, I think it really helps in snow, as it looks like we are going to have to face here in Ontario this year. There is lots to come off yet, gonna be a long December.

How much do you guys have left out thereIJ We went through the same thing last year in western canada - we had close to 2000 ac of canola and barley left out, only problem was it was all in swath. We managed to get most of it off by christmas though. Good luck to you!!!

We had to combine in snow a few years ago. One trick that worked was to remove shields so that fan was sucking outside air, not air heated from engine bay.

Darn it, you beat me to this reply. It does work. Also, I was running a 6620 in snow, it helped a lot to open the engine compartment lid. left the warm air go up instead of getting forced down to the fan shroud.
