Exactly which weakness you are asking aboutIJ Do you have a final drive or a planetary drive axleIJ I have a JD spec. sheet for both 9600 drives and a sheet for the 8820 planetary drive. The 9600 sheets do not specify the maximum offset allowed, but the 8820 sheet does. A 7 inch offset is allowed on the 8820. I should think that the 9600 planetary would also. The offset is the distance, in or out, from the center (6 inches in your case) of the single tire to the face of the bolt circle on wheel disc. As you space the wheel disc off center, the radial load increases on axle and bearings. Other stresses build on wheel and disc.
