Terry: We've combined spring wheat, straw for 60 bushels_acre but only getting 35. This is when I was having trouble setting the seives. I now know why you said, I wont need a constant speed rotor. I've never been able to run the conbine at full capacity (rotor) without fearing plugging, now we see the warning light come on and we slow down a little. Before we would stop and hope that the rotor would clear and not plug. We installed an internal chopper like you suggested so the straw is being cut up fairly fine, so can't answer your question about straw quality. We've cut wheat, peas and barley, I think we're getting good seperation through the concaves and grates. As far as the weather we've done very little combining, and now its raining and might snow. Hope we don't have to findout how your rotors blow snow....Sorry about the length of this post Neil
