Just want to say THANKS to you silver blooded Gleaner Gurus.You guys have went above and beyond the call of duty to make meaningfull improvements to the rotory design and getting the factory to saddle up with your mods says alot for Gleaner.I only farm 88A so the F2 will do but you all make me wish for a highly modified rotory to go SCREAMING through my stuff.I could shuck the corn in the morning and clip the beans in the afternoon and be setting at the supper table before dark.WOW!!Thanks for all you do.

Did I understand you correctly in that the extended 3rd helical (triangle piece) is now available through GleanerIJ If so, any partn you might could pass onIJ Thanks tbran

Part number is 71402029 from a bulletin I have dated July, 2003. It is called the "Helical Vane Extension Kit". I thought about getting it but haven't done it yet. It looks pretty simple from the bulletin.

Don't procrastinate! Get the part and install it. If you have any problems with the rock door blowing open on a regular basis for no apparent reason, you will probably find that a solid lump of material is always jammed in the inside, lH end of the rock door opening. This is material that has flowed around the thresher and been moved to the left, towards the seperator, by the helicals and thresher bars. The far RH helical stops above the lH end of the thresher conveyor opening, depositing lots of threshed material back onto the lH inside end of the rock door. This material plus the conveyor feed material banks up and blows open the rock door. The extended helical and triangular section carries the threshed material across the opening and into the separator, preventing build ups of material at this point. Result; End of frustration and a rock door that only works when it is supposed to! Quite a stroke of genius for Tbran to come up such a simple fix to a very frustrating problem! Cheers.

G'Day guy's Tbran! got and idea that you might want to try!!! Since your got you head buried in a gut's of a combine!!!! When you install your steep pitched helicals try putting a 2-3mm thick, 6 mm wider than the helicals a strip of sheet steel with the extra whit sticking out the discharge side of the helicals. I would think this would help to move material across the cage a bit better, the material would slide in the corner of the helical and steel strip, but not blocking off much cage!!!!! Tell me what you think! Thanks goes to John Ryan on this one, as we did it to our N7 a few years ago and it made it much better machine!!!! Rolf
