You won't be disappointed! The dealer we got our 52 from this past summer was quite adamant about not installing extended cylinder bars in our machine too. Once he seen we wouldn't back down, he reluctantly agreed but swore we'd be sorry for it. AGCO needs to get it's act together and listen to the folks on this site about what we can make these machines do, then teach their dealers the tricks of the trade. I just wonder how many Gleaner owners there are out there that are running with reverse bars and having power shortages, chewed up straw, etc that have no idea what their machines are capable of. Just a couple of short years ago, we were in that same boat. Best of luck with your newer, leaner, meaner, Gleaner!

You might want to look into changing your rotor setup to Hyper's Hi_lo cyl. bars instead of those evil reverse bars. The Hi_lo bars allow the crop to flip over and release grain that may be trapped in the straw. This, in combination with tbran's F2 "belly bar" will probably do the same thing as your reverse bars and allow smoother crop flow through the rotor and less power consumption. I am only going by what has been said here as we haven't gone to the hi_lo_belly bar setup yet - we just run all fwd stock bars. Might be worth looking in to for you..... Good luck Gerald!
