We're just hoping for something to harvest at all. There is no moisture up here in the northern plains.

2rotorsrule, Didn't some parts of the northern plain get some pretty decent snow back in FebruaryIJ I read some where that Pierre had 11" at one time, and Rapid City had several 3" and 4" snow storms. Was it all white stuff and no waterIJ

Yes, places like Pierre got some, but I hear they hyped that up a little bit. They had more moisture last year also. I saw an artilce in a farm magazine, can't remember which one, but he was from Pierre, and the title was "coping with drought" He raised 60 bu. spring wheat then reseeded 3 1_2 ton_ac. sorgum sudan grass. 100 miles north where we are we got a whole inch all year last year.....counting winter. THis year has been better buy not buy much. Guys are really worried. THursday is supposed to bring some mosture, if not we could be in a world of hurt.

I cant wait for it to arrive, its is snowin very hard right now in Wyoming. Everybody was just getting into the fields, but I guess I wont complain, I was down to Tx,Ok,Ks,and Ne about 3 weeks ago and things looked pretty good in Tx and OK parts of Kansas and Nebraska looked ok and other parts looked kinda poor. Hopefully we can all have a good harvest this year. Hope it hurries up and gets here...
