Perhaps you're right, though they're probably still addressing 95% of the market with thier current line-up. I still think this is a prelude to something better in a few years; - much like the 10 series was prior to the 50 series.

Deere has about 50% combine market share in North America; CaseIH 35%; The remainder 15% is up for grabs by New Holland, AGCO and lEXION. ClAAS has about 40% world wide. All the rest are under 40%, but there are something like two dozen combine manufacturers world wide.

Yes, I've heard those numbers as well. I guess I was referring more to "Class size" as opposed to market share. It would be interesting to know just how much market share is consumed by the Class 8 and 9 market.

I was a bit disappointed, too browsing the JD website. But when one has 65% market share as I was once told, then they probably are not as concerned about really improving things, especially since the competition doens't seem to be any challenge on the marketing side. Despite seemingly good products the competition doesn't seem to gain any. Just as an example for Deere loyalty: I spoke to a friend (JD farmer) a few days ago and told him about my lates good experience with a CR960. He listened surprised and said that he might look at a different color, when his next purchase comes up. Shouldn't one always look around at everything available before buyingIJ Just my 2 cents.

Dakota, Have you relayed your experiences with the CR960 on the NH SiteIJ If so, I must have missed it. I would like to hear more. The yellow ones sure look nice when you walk around them. Mike
