I don't think they are still in production but the GM_Detroit Diesel 2 cycle engines in the three or four displacement series were in production for over 50 years with only minor modifications and up dates. Air quality standards finally stopped them from going into trucks.

Engines are engines, The Harley and Davidson's have been making them since 1902, in 1903 they made a 3HP the bore was 3 inches, stroke was 3 and a half inches and had a 11 1_2 flywheel.They put in production in 1903. Shortly afterwards Ole Evinrude started his outboard motor business, it was his carby design for the first production Harley Davidson motor bike..and they are still making them....
