I have run a harvest with 1688s and rebuilt those. I have been through 9610s. STS's and 9650 walkers. I get around the 2388s a little. If you have CIH, I see no reason for switching from a machine point of view.
I just cant imagine having something shake up and down like that is going to last very long. I do not want to make my teeth rattle. I CANT believe John Deere still makes them. What a joke!!
I'm not so sure Massey and Gleaner still make the walkers. I sure didn't see any when I took the plant tour. In NH's defence, they sure don't push their walker machine like Deere did. The last one we had was a 9600. There's still broken walkers lying around the lot from that combine. And thats a job to put them in too.
You could be right. They might be more of a European thing. Come to think of it I haven't seen one of them for a while (Agcos walkers). But there are a few of NHs CXs up here in Canada. Those CX 880s look like a big machine.
