Combines Thinking of purchasing R72

An R72 will run circles around a 9600 in any crop. There are no 1688s in this area so I have no experience with them. Tom in MN

A 9600 and a 1688 are both class VI combines while the R72 is a class VII. 72 has much bigger grain tank, more power, more capacity. The R72 has a large pair swinging between it's legs and there ain't much out there that will compare!

I have a 94 R62 and only harvest small grain's

My friend from St. Thomas, Ontario traded his R72 on a Deere 9650 conventional. I think his main purpose for dealing was dealer support, but he seems to think he made a "lateral" move as far as capacity is concerned. He prefers the Deere in small grains!
