What do you mean by no "raised lip"IJ Round bar concaves may be worth a try, and if you do try, let us know how they work out. I know many JD STS owners have replaced the round bar concaves with wide space cross bar ones.
Ken What I mean by no raised lip is, the inside of the concave is smooth. OEM concaves have raised pieces across them, like keystock grates kinda, this gets the seperating action happening at the concaves. I always have a really good sample with these concaves because they are not really agressive. Have problems with some rotor loss in tough beans and high moisture corn (28-35%).

I switched to round bars last year when we had problems plugging the concaves with trash. It took care of the problem. This year the corn will be dry and anything looks like it will work but I will put the round bars back in for corn. I am running stock bars for beans with three cover plates .
Have had a set of round bar concaves for four years now . For White beans they are a must !! If you are doing seed white beans they are much more gentle and let the beans out of the rotor area quicker . less splits and cracked seed coats . In corn they work great . Only time I have had any problems is in tough soys . The small single bean and usually higher moisture pods are harder to shell . A set of blanks works well to shell them out . Ask your local CaseIH dealer if they can get them . Was told that they may be available . The ones from harvest services are not of the same configuration . They will tell you to zero set your concaves . The ones I have are from CaseIH . They were proto types . You could also take an old set of concaves and have a machine shop put round bars in them .
