Combines Thoughts on CNH and AGCO

Most of my dealers here in SWIl are both New Holland and Agco dealers, so not much would change. I think this is all just talk, because if we know about it, it's most likely not true. Most of this stuff is done behind closed doors, and nobody know what goes on behind themIJ Plus I don't think the gov. would let them do it. Ilnh

Agco doesn't have the ability to aquire CNH. Don't think it will happen in fullIJ They might aquire a piece, the talk is GM is who is serious about a deal. But with what I saw about them the other day, I doubt they can swing it eitherIJ Things stay the same in my eyes, then in a year or so NH is sold off to whoever and CNH is all red! JD

Over here in Australia, (Southern New South Wales) the local AGCO dealer (selling Massey -tractors, combines, hay gear, Gleaner combines, Fendt tractors) a Deutz tractor dealer, a Claas dealer (combines and hay gear) and is doing very well. The local inter dealer is not going all that well. The local NH is going a bit better however they sell construction gear aswell, that helps them. It comes back to to same old thing the company's carn't sell gear to the farmers, if they (the farmers) don't like or get the back up _ support from the local dealer. Most people will if the choice is between two machines that are same spec, but differant makes, will go for the one with the dealer that offers the best after sales support, no good paying $15,000 less for a machine if you carn't get back up support for the new machine.

look over on the Case talk show, some madman thinks that Claas has just bought CNH at 2.00am this morning!!! Shares of Claas must be doing better than I thought!!
