Combines Three pt vs pull type strip till rig

Probably not. A drawbar rig will have a little give, either in the tool as it is pulled over the ground, or the tractor tires will flex differently. I pulled a mounted chisel once the same size as a pull type. The mounted one about beat me up on the tractor. Much easier to steer with a pull rig also. My .02

In 2004 we used a 12 row pull type strip till and in 2005 we used a 3 pt 12 row strip till. I can't say that one pulled easier or harder than the other. We are using a Trimble RTK guidance system and the 3pt one works much better. Easier to get lined up on the ends to start and does much better on any side slope. The 3pt. system had very accurate guess rows on pretty severe slopes. That was our experience.

i have a 3 pt 8 row kmc strip till rig with the planters attatched to the rig for a once over deal. I pull it with an john deere 8420 it puts a good deal of weight on the tractors 3pt arms but hey it saves me fuel and i get my plants right on top of where my ripper runs. I plant cotton and corn like this.
