if it is a 436 engine it is set at 18 degrees on the front dampener pulley. then take the front cover off of in front of the pump. then line up the hash marks on the pump and sliding collar behind the gear. then tighten the 5_16 bolts. try to start. if it don't start after a couple minutes then it is probably 180 degrees out of time. take gear off of pump and turn shaft 360 degrees and reinstall gear. start good luck
