Rick, No we never had one in for sunflowers but but we have had about the same thing in for canola and it really helped on a lot of machines. We find the trick for sunflowers when the heads and stocks break up really bad is to make a plate that fits over the whole thresher concave and boy does that give you a near perfect sample. Seperator cover kit will also help prevent all the junk on the shoe. Thanks for the input. Dan

Would this board work in linseed (Flax)IJ

Rolf, I have only used the board in canola but if you are having trouble on the shoe with flax it could help. We fasten it to rear frame of chaffer with about 4 screws and lean it back to angle of the shoe side panels and then fasten it. We go about 4" high. I have seen it made of wood and plastic. It will allow most of the seeds that get to rear of chaffer to fall back into return. Good luck if you try it. Happy 31st from America to you Rolf down under. Dan
