Anything other than greenIJ Yep!. When I was a small boy 64 years ago in 1944, wartime, my old man got his first tractor, a Massey Harris 102 senior [ i think! ] with the first rubber tyres in the district. All my tractors were painted red after that until in 1961 Massey came along and told us in no uncertain terms that we were all going to buy 3 point linkage tractors and equipment and that we had no other options. This in a broad acre grain farming area. Well we did have other options! From a 15 year old stranglehold on the region Massey Ferguson had all but disappeared some 5 years later and are still trying to make a mark on the area some 55 years later. And one day the same will happen to deere and it will be something very innocuous that will start the rot. It will only be when people look back that they will, like GM and Ford, realise that the rot had started many years beforehand but nobody recognised or wanted to recognise what was happening.
