You didn't say what concave you were runningIJ Do you have the two piece top sieveIJ I have always run the sq bar concave with all the small wires in it. This year I will run a small wire wheat one so I don't know if there is a difference between the two. But you need all the small wires in both. If you have the two piece top sieve you need to have the front part of it open two or three more pegs than the back. That may be blocking off air maybeIJ Seems like you got a dead air space there. If wheat is threshing good you should be able to open the bottom seive up to let more air to the top. I know sometimes it's easy to set the combine to over thresh and that over loads the seives. Did you try to open the concave up someIJ I always open the bottom seive up and try to set the combine to get the very best job it can do and then set the bottom seive last. A few wheat brands are harder to clean than others, does it do it in all wheat brandsIJ Some other people on here that cut more wheat than I do may be able to help you more(NHDon and 2rr). Ilnh

We do not have a two piece top sieve. I do not know about the "square bar" concave, but we did put all of the wires in it. We did have a New Holland rep. available during the harvest, and he could not figure it out. We assumed by the end of harvest that we need to rebuild our concaves, as there is some rounding-off of the edges, as well as to replace the bars. We do know that if you do not do a good job of threshing up-front, then you can run into numerous cleaning problems. Any further discussions would be helpful, as we were utterly frustrated with this one.

There is a flat piece of steel between the end of the rotors and before the beater, that piece may be broken, with holes in it. I replaced our on our TR 85, world of difference.
