Yes there is something else to look at on the turrret. It is common for the turret to seize when up because there is not enough grease inbetween theneoprene ring and the slider. What you can do is get someone to run the auger up and down as you grease the turret zircs, you should be able to use almost a whole tube of grease between the four nipples on the thing. Make sure that you get grease in it all the way from top to bottom, then as you move the auger it will force the grease into the slider, freeing it up considerably. The problem is that when the auger is all the way up, the little cylinder they have on there doesn't have the leverage it needs to pull the auger back down.

The greasing of the turret is essential. Also there is a ring in there that gets worn at the bottom where the grain goes over it. It can be replaced or just taken apart and rotated a half turn. Additionally, the hyd system has a priority valve so that you get hyd pressure to the steering system first and always before any other hyd function. So if you have your foot on the auger lowering pedal and are turning or are going thru the field and the hyd system is keeping the header level to the ground and raising and lowering it as necessary the auger going down will jerk on it's way down everytime some other function requires hyd pressure The hyd valve for the unloading auger is under the platform by the cab entry door not in the stack valve on the right side. I have seen a problem with getting the unloading auger to start down. There is a heavy strap that reinforces the lower pin of the hyd cylinder that raises and lowers the auger. It has slots at the lower end where it is bolted to the side of the combine. Two bolts with 15_16 nuts hold the strap in place. sometimes they get loose and the auger goes out and kinda goes over center and the hyd cylinder can't get it started back down. If you put the auger out try to not put it all the way out to see if it will come back easier. Also it is not good to let it go all the way out at full speed. Especially if it is jerking. I try to bring it back just a little before I start the auger. It's interesting the CR's have a hyd circuit that slows the movement of the auger out just as it nears the end of it's stroke. Sure makes it a lot smoother. I think you will get this problem solved. Good luck!
