Combines TR 98 steering

The steering should AlWAYS have priority over other hydraulic function. Operating any function while steering should definately have no effect on steering. Does this occur only when combine is at lower idle, compared to when revved all the way upIJ Does oil temperature make any difference on performanceIJ ie: good initially upon startup, and as the machine warms up, the problems start to occur. It may be a sign of the pump getting weak. I think there is a flow divider_ priority valve in the pump body, that could be your problem as well.

Our TR86 has done the same thing for the 5 years we have owned it. I suppose it is just a small glitch in the priority valve.

Our TR 98 does the same thing. Its not much of a problem. I guess as long as its not major I wouldn't worry about it. Example, while turning and using lift at the same time the steering wheel will twich a littleIJ Its normal on ours I guess.

It does it at full and idle. It seems to not do it when oil is cold but after five ten minutes it will start to occur.

There is a good chance the pump is seeing wear. Take pump apart and have a look at it. It is an aluminum body gear pump, look for wear on the inside of the aluminum housing.
