Mine is finally fixedIJ The latest was put inlast may and has run 300 hrs with no problems and no vibration. We have the one with regular flighting not double or half. Also we have the big ring around the discharge end off. My suggestion is to leave it off. this thing makes thw vibration worse. Good luck! I have confidence that they can make it work for you.Don

You have more confidence than I do. The one in my machine is double flighted. They have taken about 4 inches of flighting off the top. This will supposedly stop it from throwing grain out of the tank. like you, I have taken the top deflector off but I have not been to the field yet. That greatly reduced the vibration but I don't know if the grain will stay in the tank. I am hoping it will or I will make a much lighter shield, possibly out of something perforated or some belting. Any more actual experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try working with loewens. They manufacture augers and would be willing to work with you on an auger with the specs you prefer.
