No augers but a grain pan that walks the grain back and puts grain on bottom and the chaff on top so the fan can blow the chaff out as the grain falls on the sieves. Augers will mix the chaff and grain together. It works good.
That makes sense. Do the links that move the grain pan require much maintenanceIJ I couldn't really see how it was driven or how easy those parts are to access.
I have had TR's sense 1977 and have never had any problems there at all so I would say it is trouble free. I hope you look at the combine some more as they are not that bad of a combine.
We're not in a position to trade, I just like looking at the different designs to see different ways to "skin the same cat". I really like the fact that the TR's have 3 field gears instead of two. We have a bridge that keeps us from running a 30' header, so sometimes we run out of gears with a 25'. Seems like if they take the best parts of the NH and the CIH, they could make a pretty solid machine.
