Check the dimensions on your upper and lower links on the control linkage. You may have to ask your dealer for the exact specs, but I think the top should be about 9" and the bottom about 11-12" from the frame to the pin. When seting the clutch, that spec for lever travel is a guidline only, don't take it as a set specification. Myself I do it all by feel, if it engages hard enough and the lever is close to being lined up to the corner pillar in the cab, then you are good for tension. If the tension is good and it won't disengage like you say, the odds are that the upper link is too short, adjust it out with the threaded union on the end of it and try it again. Then just work back and forth with the upper and lower links, you may have to readjust the tension nut also, untill you get the proper setting.
