Combines TR88 89 and90series differencesIJ

John, There is a big difference in a 88 and 89 as the TR-89's are now a wide body combine, the same size as the 99's are. The 88 was 40" and the 89 is 55" wide cleaning system. A 89 is just now a downgraded 99 , and if you put the hopper ext. on it would hold 240 bu. also. A 89 would not have the problems you had with the 88 with 6_30 cornhead and 200 bpa corn(you can go as fast as you could set in seat). Remember wider is better! Ilnewholland

Il. NH, I hope you got the rest of your crops out. I actually think that I can work some ground in a couple days . That wider is better thing ,now that is what I keep telling my wife about her rearend,might as well try to keep them happy. Illinois Gleaner

John, John, John, Your wife must not read this and if I said that my wife would kick my butt! About 3 days of corn to go (took today off) and I did find some 45 and 85 bpa corn. After that 10 bpa stuff you kinda feel like Francis Childs when you find the better corn. later, Ilnh

Hey guys, Yep, you guessed it more rain! Started yesterday around noon, still pitter-pattering as I type. We went from, a 15+ inch deficit over the past 2 years to 10+ inch surplus since Oct. 7. I road west today about 100 miles and it's the same as here, no wheat planted and crops still out and wet, wet, WET! Why I didn't quit in '96 I don't know and I'm still a youngin compared to most. This year is going to retire quite a few I'm afraidIJ I put the Deere supports in my 973's auger, took a little rigging though but I believe it will work out better. I also used the poly May Wes fingers, I had some in my old header and they worked okay. Much safer than the metal ones, guy down the road almost cut his auger into the other day when one of the fingers broke and punched several holes in it. Kinda influenced me to go with poly ones.
