The centering only works when the feeder housing is raised far enough to trip the microswitch on the lH side of the feeder just ahead of the rocktrap. The microswitch turns the header sensors off and centers the feeder using the faceplate sensor on the combine. Make sure the wire trip arm is under the rocktrap body and not on top. The switch_trip position can be adjusted if you have to raise the feeder too high. Early microswitches (1600-2100's)were an open design and foreign material would prevent the switch from operating correctly, blowing off with conpressed air usually works, you need to hear the familiar "click" when you move the wire arm downward. later models (2300) have a sealed unit with a rubber boot.
