Combines Tracks for a l3

FROM EXPERIENCE, with full tracks, not those that wrap around a tire, expect a bone chattering ride when not in soft mud, about a week of hard labor to install the subframe, header drive shaft modification to prevent track interference, and a messy field left behind especially at the ends. Tracks without RWA will wear the brakes out in no time. Can not steer them with two wheel drive. We had them by the truck loads in the old Memphis region, after the first sale most dealers swore off them. Most all went to scrap. A very expensive lesson. We found that a 23.1-34 R-2-0 (rice and cane) went best in mud and left a track that could be disc'd back down for next spring planting vs the 30.5-32's and the huge divots that resulted.

I'm just thinking too much because it's wet here now. I realy don't want to put them on because I know it will shake the combine apart. I think if I need to I would be better off with big balloon tires on the front. I already have RWA and 30.5-32's on the front and just have trouble in some small spots.

We were terribly muddy here a few years ago and couldnt move with just singles up front. dad bought a set of 24.5 r32 duals cheap and put them on his 8820. the 30.5 r32's inside with those duals on floated so well it was amazing, and when he would trun those smaller duals didnt bite like ones of the same size would. only problem was turning in the mud without RWA. not familiar with the l3 but maby it is an option. oh ya, if you do go with duals, watch those lug bolts. good luck with the rest of your harvest chad

have a 67-34-30 set of goodyear floater tires(terra flowgrip) sitting in the shed,. sold the m2 and got a r62 so can't use them. they will fit a l2. asking 2000 dollars new cost was right at 5000 grand with rims. bought in 2000, used three seasons and sat in shed since. they do flow mud better than 30.5 32 and have a lot of clearance around the inside of tire. call 217 825 3982
