RamRod, Marzolf Implement out of Spring Valley has a customer with a set on an R-62. The farmer lives by Kasson. Give them a call I know they will be helpful. As far as I know he has had them for a couple of seasons with good luck. I believe top road speed is pretty slow-something like 10 mph. Brian

Thanks Brian. I talked with that farmer today; upside is great carrying ability and can be added or removed in about an hour. Are a number of questionable things about them. About 12 mph max roading speed. Cost obviously. Ability to turn well. The rear wheels in super soft conditions will sink deep. And in heavy load conditions, I wonder if final drive output axle shaft may have more stress and failure potential than using tall single tires. His are Grip Trac brand, and they just bolt onto the final drive just like wheels do. Track on the ground is about 8' long. He always makes "A" shaped turns which would be tedious and time consuming. I will research more. Doug

Omnitrac in Oregon has rubber belt conversion system available too. Their web site is a pain, but by fishing around you can get to a picture of their system on a combine or pea viner.

GripTrac did some custom fabrication for us several years ago. Our sets were made with a dead axle on them instead of the direct bolt on. They take longer to get on and off, but much less stress on the final drives. Fred Riplo and his crew do good work.
