I just traded a 1991 920 Flexhead with DAM and FandA for a new 925. Since this will be going on a 9500, I needed the old style DAM which is slightly more expensive than the new style which is used on the newer combines. I also needed the double roller chain type drive which is less than the current PTO type drive used on the newer combines. I also got the full fingers in Plastic which is slightly more than steel. I am told the plastic fingers will not run as long as steel but will not cause damage if broken and run through the combine. The list on this head was $21,545 plus setup. I traded for $14,800. Another dealer quoted me a slightly lower price earlier but was unable to obtain a head at this point in time. My old head is in reasonably good condition with good plastic, two bent reel pipes and a few dents in the dividers. My old head had the "Ball Indiciator" for height. Although I didn't use it alot, I liked the idea as it gave me some visual confirmation of the head's operation. This is available for the new head and I believe I will either try to get it as part of the deal or move the one from the old head to the new. This dealer had the head in stock. It is my understanding that production on the 9XX series has ceased as they are producing the new series (600 seriesIJ) for the new "60" series combines.
