Combines trading combine

They should pay you money for trading the NH on a JD. (just kidding JD people) TR 70's are not worth much more than a JD 6600 would be (about $3500 to $6000 US). I hope you look at a newer New Hollands as they are much improved over the years. John Deere's resale is a lot less now so you can buy more combine but the nicer grain sample on a NH is a big plus! I think you could find a nice TR 86 for about $30000 here in Il. Just my 2 cents.

I agree if you have been operating the TR-70 for 20 years or more you will be amazed at the improvements and low maintenace costsof a later model TR-86.I would never consider going back to JD.
