one other option is to put a reel on your head. we have had this problem in the past and there is really no good way to fix it. a reel would help to feed the trash back to the auger. I know of guys that had to wait for dew to fall in order to get the trash to feed.

I have had this problem as well and know of several other farmer who experienced the same thing and it is very frustrating. The only solution I have heard of that works well is to put a reel on your header otherwise you are pretty much S.O.l. and just pray that most of your corn is not as fragile and fluffy as what you are currently in.

If your 693 was built before 2002 model, Deere has a Wedge Kit to lower the angle of the head. That and the paddles usually does it.

Put the paddles on the inner few rows gathering chains and put on a wedge kit. My dealer in Indiana stocks both, and they'll do the trick. They seem to be up on everything there at there 3 stores.

A reel is costly, try the paddles they also help in down corn. cheap too.
