I wouldn't worry about the machine running down hill a little. I can't imagine that hurting anything. For the rear I would look at the 28lR26. It makes a great rear tire for combines, but it would raise the rear up 3-1_2 to 4-1_2 more inches than the 480x28. Can't you adjust for tire size with the axle or final driveIJ
