That's the idea of triangle filler. It provides for larger path of material next to helical. Can't say it helps anything but surely don't hurt and is to easy weld in. I didn't get any info on it put in yet for we had trouble with web site and have not got back to it. Many more pictures coming ASAP. The wires over sump have been shortened some since picture for the guys that run to long without cleaning can't get door open. The fingers need to swipe threw sump when opening door to clean and if it is packed in to tight you will have trouble opening. Other reason for shortening fingers is to help prevent breaking them. I use 1_2" wire and could go larger but this is working for now. I may do some fine tuning with system down the road. I don't mind the sump as much anymore if a guy has did the hyper mods with helicals to prevent the excess pressure on that area. I would much prefer the hump when only an odd foreign object is injested. I have few machines in bad rocks so I had a Gleaner guru out west have them made close to his home. I believe he is getting $150 for the kit. There is a plate that will bolt onto your existing door. The fingers will thread into this plate. You will need to get the three brackets to lock door in sump position if you don't allready have. The sump kit you get from Gleaner know is a light duty door that I have not yet figured out a kit for it. We order machines with normal rock door so we can install this wire devise if going into bad rocks. You might guess I was quite up set when Gleaner made the sump standard equipment. If they would only address why the door was opening prematurly in the first place!! Have a great day.
