On our 9500 I have plugged the beater with the grate down doing tough pinto's...so made a tool that fits into the slots on beater pulley that can be turned with a 3_4" drive breaker bar.

several years ago we rented a 9500 that plugged the beater in green canola. After about 6 hours of trying to unplug it I was ticked off enough that I just kept powering it through. It came out and I was going again(and one separator clutch later). We demoed a 9600 and a 8680MF along side our R72. The trick to unplugging the beater is a two man job. You will need one man on a cylinder bar and another man on the beater belt. The guy on the beater belt must pull down on the top side of the belt as the other guy turns the cylinder backwards. this works because you become the belt tightener. You will shoot the wad out through the rock trap eventually. this has never failed me yet in tough or geen pea straw.

Open the stone trap, remove the panel above the stone trap door by removing the 2 nuts on each side. Now there is room for the wad to come out. Worked for me.
