Combines trouble in the hills with 52

Nate, Is the corn coming out the right sideIJ The return elevator returns to the rear distribution auger and there is not much of a lip on the trough so the returned material gets dumped on the right side of the shoe. I welded a 1"lip that tapers down to the center of the auger to keep the material in the trough longer and the material gets deposited more towards the center of the shoe. I had your problem the first year I had my N6 until I welded that plate in. I cut the wedge shaped piece out of a old piece of 6" auger tube. Got that idea from Hyper II. As far as corn bouncing out when you start and end most combines will do that until the machine gets full and you have grain hitting grain instead of metal. I know the red guys have the same complaint. You also have that big blast of air just below the accelerator rolls that will blow a little out until you get a steady stream of grain going through. Also if you hyperize you rotor (get rid of the reverse bars etc..) you will stop grinding the cobs thus reducing the load on the cleaning shoe. It worked wonders for my N6. Pete

should i remove all the reverser bars or just someIJ wont i loose grain out the rotor on left hand slopsIJ i do have some good size hills. should they be removed for corn and beansIJ thanks for your help already!

He does have some pretty good sized hills. I don't think I would attempt them with a level land combine but you must be a pretty tough guy huh.

Maybe this is stuped but do you have a corn chaffer installed and is it square tooth or round. Did you cut first few rows of chaffer loose so you can run them wider than the backIJ
