i have a 1620 and it doesn't have a turbo. i don't feel i'm under powered. i also don't know what the hp increase would be. when i was combine shopping i was strongly advised to stay away from 1440's with a turbo added on. can't really say why but more than one dealer told me this. i would think that as long as you keep it as a 4 row corn and 15' grain head and not make into a 6 row machine that you should be all right. i love my combine and i think you will too! good luck!
