The wider you can run the rear the better make sure you leave enough clearance that you don't knock the elevator of the combine.Remeber that if the rear tire goes through a rut or something like that while turned it can cause the tire to come closer to the elevator. Tim

Thanks for the warning Rolf!! How do you go about setting the steering so it stops before the end of the cylinderIJ Will it turn against the casting with the stop bolts outIJ

We adjust out one hole per side just like you mentioned on every single machine. Then we remove stop bolts like Rolf said and then adjust cylinders but not so much they bottom out spindle against stop area. Rock combine back and forth while holding steering hard to see if you adjusted far enough. Be sure you adjust both tie rods on cylinder so you have plenty of threads engaged unless you have a newer machine that has extra holes in cylinder anchor and then you use the other set of holes and don't need to adjust tie rods very far.
