Combines turrent auger

We are on our second turret and would not own the conventional auger. The regular auger just doesn't cut it reaching these tall grain carts if you have some rolling ground, as soon as you find a dip, there the auger is almost hitting the cart. On the first turret we had the bearings go out in the elbow, but that was a easy problem to fix, tractor-loader and about four hours. We do run an extension with ours to reach well past our 30' head.

If you get the turret be sure to always open clean outs if you could get caught in rain. That will save bearing below vertical auger. Drill and tap top gear box and keep it greased after intial fill and that will prolong its life. Time horizontal flighting to trail vertical flight by approx 1_4 turn for most effecient operation. System looks just fine and works good to if taken care of. Good luck
