Combines TX66 cracking peas severely Help

What"s the moisture on the peas and the varietyIJ That can make tremendous difference.I've done Mozarts at 10% moisture with about 5% cracks.90% of the shelling will be done in the feeder house if they are really dry.Are your deawning plates downIJIs your rear seperator on slow speedIJIf it's really dry I will run the concave wide open and cylinder as slow as possible.Shut down your precleaner and top sieves a little to put less on the bottom sieve and the return. Also check your glean grain elevator for slack in the chain.

17% moisture on Nitouche greeens. deawning plates down. rear separator speed unsure but really shouldn't matter. shouldn't be getting full pea pods there. What about too tight feederhouse chainIJ Cowboy, what's your phone numberIJ It may be quicker to call.

The rear concave position and separator speed make a difference in the amount of trash that goes to the sieves which affects returns and sample.I'm not familiar with that variety of peas.They must be greensIJYou probably might be further ahead to phone Gary Arneson at Markusson for any other ideas.I can E-mail my n later if you like.Having some trouble with my Mozarts 1_2 standing up good and the other went flat to the ground and gets so tough at night they won't cut well.Good luck.(now sasktel.net)

The rear seperator speed makes a big difference. Slow the rear seperator and open the concave under it.Put the smooth covers on the returns also .

Did all that. Still major problems. was overloading right return. that's where the cracking was I figured. Checked concave clearance and found the right side of concave was BROKE! Problem solved .......kinda
