Combines tx66 vs 1688

I've combined 40 bus_acre wheat in the same field with a 1688 and an 8820 J.D. The field was swathed in about 70-80 acre patches in a 30 foot swath. The Tx 66 would do 3 rounds to their two.I was choking on their dust as I kept passing them all day and at night the 1688 slowed down while Tx just keeps going.I bale straw behind it all the time and quality is never an issue even in light crops and super dry conditions.

The Tx series combine is simply a combine that when it was introduced to North America back in the early 90's was 10 years ahead of where the competition is today. Since I started running Tx's its been real hard to evaluate the competitive machines on the market today from my rear view mirrors. They will deal with any kind of straw conditions and bale real nice behind them. You can switch from windrowing to chopping in a matter of seconds with no wrenches of anything. If you are looking for a low hour 1997 Tx 66 that has been well taken care of, I have one.
