On my combine I found one of the limit switches sticking. Cleaned it up and it works just fine. Once I had a wire disconnected from one of the two limit switches.

replace limit switch or jump it to see if its the problem can even run it that way if careful not to speed up rotor past limit. We ran ours like that for a year.

Along with the checks the other guys said, another quick check is: pull off right side panel, then simply pull connector off of rotor speed switch, install jumper between center terminal and front terminal with sep. engaged, then see if its working or power to the motor. Its probably stuck which very commen, but this checking out the electric side of it.

Just had this same thing happen to me on my 1640. Check the limit switch with you meter to see if they are good. They have a new style now. Think it was $15 for a new one. Also check the plug in from the main harness to the limit switches. Should be next to the switches to the right. Sometimes the connectors work their way out of the plug. That was my problem.

Thanks for the advice. A wire terminal was broken off of the rotor limit switch.
