Put your feeder chain belt on the faster speed so that it takes the corn in faster. Then you can run your corn head slower.

Yes, in kind of damp conditions with small ears we know what you are experiencing. The use of the RH speed up sheave would leave the chain_belt on slow speed sheave (71374737and71368809) side but at a higher speed and then speed the auger up w_71359660 16t sprocket. This will eliminate your condition problem and has worked for us in the past.

We only do two things to the 8 row Huggers. Number one is extend left or right flighting to convey material as far as left or right has conveyed (this keeps auger bed and area in front of it clean). Number two is install floor filler in between auger and feed chain (this keeps that area clean).
